1. REDEEMING YOUR POST OFFICE PAYOUT BARCODE

1.1 Redeeming either a cash or energy Barcode depends on the availability of the Post Office Payout facility at a given Post Office branch. Not all Post Office branches operate this service and you should check on the Post Office branch locator (https://www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder) online before leaving home to redeem a Barcode.

1.2 Post Office will only pay out when the scanning of the Barcode on the Post Office system shows that the payment can be processed.  If you feel that your Barcode should be available for processing but it indicates otherwise when presented in a branch

1.3 Payments will be made in Sterling only.

1.4 In the case of an energy top-up, the amount will be redeemed in full upon presentation of the Barcode, but if your energy key or card does not have sufficient free capacity to then receive the redeemed amount, you may never receive all or part of the amount. By redeeming the Barcode, you agree that this is understood and that it is solely your responsibility to ensure that your key or card has sufficient free capacity before redeeming the Barcode.

1.5 The issue of a receipt and recording on the Post Office system that an active payment instruction has been discharged by a payment will be conclusive proof that the payment has been made, save in relation to matters of proven fraud.

1.6 Neither holding nor redeeming a Barcode issued by Post Office subjects you or Post Office to any contractual relationship with the other.

1.7 There shall be no charges to you for the redemption of a Barcode.
