We challenge
At Huggg, we think big and don't allow conventions to limit our imagination. We promote an open and honest working environment, and provide a safe place to take risks thanks to our no-blame policy. We question and debate to get the best out of each other, and we share ideas, collaborate and get stuff done, each and every day.

We’re comfortable being students. We read books, we listen to podcasts, we learn from each other. We also have access to a generous training budget to spend on professional development (or a hobby!) Together we work with our VC’s portfolio companies and our peers within that family to help each other navigate the curveballs of start-up life.

We work from anywhere
Long before we had to, we offered a hybrid, flexible way of working. Choose to make the magic happen from one of our Bristol or London office spaces, your kitchen table, favourite coffee shop - or even abroad! One size doesn’t fit all and we’re cool with that.

We are a force for change
We are working hard to improve our strategies across the company to ensure we build a diverse and inclusive business. This impacts everything we do, from our hiring processes through to the suppliers we choose to work with. We know this is a continual process of learning, talking, sharing, implementing, and levelling up.

We play hard
We’re passionate about people and taking care of our team. We’re a sociable group and get together as a company as often as we can – usually for lots of food. We make the most of our 25 days (plus bank holidays!) leave allowance, and the occasional extra day off thrown in for good measure.

We give back
At the start of the pandemic, we repurposed the Huggg platform to help get food vouchers to families eligible for free school meals, and those self-isolating or in need of welfare support. It was a challenging time as we navigated the effects of the pandemic on our personal lives and working patterns, but we took care of each other. As a team we all recognised a sense of pride for the positive impact we had in the midst of a global crisis.

And yes, we get to taste test
We’re often asked whether we get loads of free treats – the answer is: of course! We care about which brands and products we stock, so we regularly test for quality before treats make it onto the platform. It’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it, right?
