Sarah Clarke | Shine Brighter Consulting

What do you do for work?

I am the founder of Shine Brighter Consulting, Career Coach and Engagement Consultant.

What is it about your job you are most passionate about?

I am obsessed with helping women appreciate and realise their untapped professional potential after a career break such as maternity leave.? Wasted female talent is my biggest frustration in the working world so this is what I set out to address in my business, Shine Brighter Consulting. Both from an organisational and individual perspective.

How did you turn this ‘obsession’ into a business?

I launched a new arm to my business on IWD2018.  It is all about helping talented women unlock their professional potential through strengths and values-oriented career and success coaching. ? I honestly feel like I have found what I was meant to do! I took some of my own medicine and reconnected with my values and unique strengths and experience, and forged a profession that is perfectly aligned to who I am authentically. Plus there is a need for it in the world.

So, you’re on a #balanceforbetter mission all year long!

Yes I am. If I could change one thing in this world it would be that more talented women did not feel they had no choice but to give up their hard-earned careers after maternity leave. ?

Who would you like to huggg this International Women’s Day?

Charlotte Speak is a fellow strengths and careers coach and we have never met, yet we have run webinars together and are working on some exciting projects in 2019. She inspires me more than she knows and is an all round super star.?

What do you like about the idea of sending hugggs?

Saying thank you and showing you are grateful for someone’s help or contribution is one of the simplest forms of recognition but so powerful in its ability to make someone’s day better.

And finally, can you tell us something else interesting about yourself?

I led the people team that won The Sunday Times Best Company to work for in 2015 and 2016! ?? And I have a degree in Marine Biology and Italian?! ??

This International Women’s Day, let the fierce female in your life know she means the world by sending her one of our limited edition IWD coffee hugggs. Download the huggg app for iOS or Android or tap below to #hugggher this 8 March.
