Emily Wright | LIDA
Next up, we have a quick chat with the feisty and funny Emily Wright, Managing Partner at LIDA about creativity and the importance of female role models.
What do you do for work?
I am Managing Partner at creative agency LIDA.
What part of your job excites you the most?
I’m most passionate about the generation of brilliant creative ideas. Ideas that are super simple and feel magic. ?
Who would like to thank ? (with a huggg obvs) for inspiring you at work this IWD?
I would huggg Jane McNeil, the CEO of my first agency. A strong, inspiring woman who built up and ran a successful company for many years. She’s a no-nonsense Scott. Her frank and direct honesty is a breath of fresh air in an industry like advertising, where there is a lot of hot air. She has taught me most of the building blocks I have needed in my career and I am now lucky to call her a friend.
So, did you always dream of being in advertising?
No! In fact I used to be an archaeologist… I accidentally found my way into advertising. But it’s been a happy accident. ?
If you could make one change in the world what would it be?
I would find a way to link sorting out poverty and fixing the environment…..one being the solution for the other.
Can you remember your first huggg?
It was a nice cup of coffee. It put a smile on my face. ?
What do you like about huggg?
It’s a smart solution to bring a little joy into people’s lives.
