World Record Egg, we salute you 🏆

World Record Egg set out with one thing to do and one thing only.
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this 🙌”
And the egg did it 🥚 The post is currently sitting at 44,687,460 (16/01/2019) and it has now set its sights on the most retweets.
So what did we learn from this breakfast staple gone rogue?

1. Egg puns are still the best 👌

We’re scrambling for more puns after going through the Instagram stories! Take a look and share your favourites with us, we love a good pun.

2. You don’t need to be big fry to give a Kardashian (or Jenner) a run for their money 💵

If you’re a Kylie Jenner, don’t count your chickens. The egg is bigger than Easter 🐰 and I don’t think anyone would have seen that coming back at Christmas. You may feel safe and secure, but the world could turn on its head at any minute.

If you’re an egg, don’t just expect sunny side up. Work for it and you could be very pleasantly surprised.

3. People power is no yolk 🍳

Social media is a great leveller of people. The humble egg was able to come out on top thanks to people power. It even egglected a charity of the day to support whilst doing it. People power and good vibes 🙌 as if you needed more convincing to get some of that sweet egg merch.

4. Eggcellent photography is key 📸

Instagram may be full of hard, polished, picture-perfect shells, but the egg has shown that we all have a soft, gooey and silly centre as well. A reminder to let your personality shine through, be real and get behind people, eggs and whatever else makes you feel that way!

5. Kylie Jenner probably needs a huggg now…💛

I mean she’s probably not going to lose too much sleep over it, but we’re still sending her some huggg love.
